Interesting. Earlier this year when I offered him Lean Mean Thirteen to read he turned his nose up. Maybe it was the lurid pink and yellow cover. Or the fact that it’s written by a woman! Or he didn’t like the first few pages …
Or maybe it’s the fact that One For the Money reads more like a novel than another installment in a franchise. It’s certainly a big departure from my Dad’s usual diet of Jack Higgins, Gerald Seymore, Tom Clancy, Andy McNab, Chris Ryan and Lee Child. Great writers as those all are.
